HOUSE KEEPING and FEEDBACK

Just over a week into our new site and service. Thank you to all that have signed up to see what we do and also thank you to all the loyal people that have followed us around for a while now.

A solid week from a results perspective (Approx. +90 Units) but we still do not have the full functionality of the site up and running.

Within days (all depending on dealings with APPLE) we will be able to provide push notifications to clients (who are interested in the service) to notify you mail has been sent, confirm early mail and update information throughout the racing day. These notifications will come directly to your phone and/or computer.

We are also looking to integrate a Chat Room for subscribers – designed for night before sparring sessions to knock out any questions and chat through upcoming major meetings. The room will also be open race days for like minded people to share information. The room will be regulated – as we really do hope to make this a productive space for people looking to bounce ideas off others and should be beneficial for all.

If you have any further SUGGESTIONS or FEEDBACK please send it through to john@racingwatch.com.au or enter your reply at the bottom of this post.  We really do want to cover as many bases as possible.

GRAFTON

R4 #3 Jameslea World – I thought the early odds on favourite here in Impregnable trialled like he may be vulnerable fresh – especially over the short course. Jameslea World is a pacy type that importantly draws the inside here and should give a sight at good odds.

SUGGESTED BETTING: 2 Units Each Way Jameslea World @ $7.50/ $2.30 with Sportsbet/Luxbet

R6 – South Grafton Cup Preview

Having spent way too long on this race have come to the conclusion that it looks well too complicated to be taking part.

#1 SOFIN –  Quality mare deserving of the top weight here – she was a good thing beaten fresh with the pattern of the day against and the young apprentice not having much luck in the run. She again draws to need luck – if she gets it she should be strong through the line and a certain contender.

#3 DARCI’S AFFAIR – First up from a 217 day break at Rosehill – he stuck on incredibly well first up behind Invincible Knight over the 1350m. 22 days since that and now goes to the mile here. Two queries – where he gets to from the slightly awkward gate and if he is ready for the mile second up – usually takes him a couple of runs to tighten up. Prefer to risk him today.

#4 EGYPTIAN RULER – Fitter for two runs back from a break – he was fairly well beaten last start but that is the strongest lead up race of all comers here. Liapari and Kingsguard have both won in town since. Reiby the Red and Signposted have both placed in much stronger also. If he is improved fitness wise and has any luck from the gate – he is the value runner in the race around the $16 mark with most corporates.

#8 CARRY ON JAKE – This horse continues to improve – strong on pace type from the strong Paddy Cunningham yard. Form lines certainly don’t overly excite – but Paddy’s runners scare the life out of me and just have to include him.

#10 BAROQUE GIRL – One paced honest type formerly with the Bjorn Baker yard – now with Scott Henley. His three efforts for the new stable have all been usual solid efforts. Drops in grade off last start – just concerned she doesn’t have the turn of foot to match a couple of these. Place preferred.

#11 MR MCBAT – Enigmatic type that can look devastating when he finds conditions to suit. Certainly gets an improving track here which is in his favour and is a definite knockout hope at odds here with even luck from back in the field.

#13 CHEVAL LE VENT – On pacer that has won over the mile previously. Fairly lightly raced and does have a good strike rate. Concerned that the mile is at the end of his tether. Place best.

#15 KASHARN – Mile specialist that had genuine excuses last start with conditions against. Should be hard fit now – loves the track/distance and will be running on here. $13 looks fair enough odds for a horse with his record around here. One for multiples.

#18 TATOOSH – In new stable this preparation and has been building towards a win. Peaks here – drawn ideally and this looks his D-Day to put his hand up and win again. Should be favourite.
